On 13 February 2026, within the framework of the IMELO project, we organised an online, public, and freely accessible webinar. The event focused on challenges that increasingly affect young people today, and on methodological approaches that can help them build a more conscious, balanced, and resilient way of managing everyday life.
Purpose of the webinar
The main goal of the programme was to create meaningful dialogue between professionals, youth workers, educators and young people, while presenting practical tools that can be used in everyday youth work. The webinar highlighted the development of life-management competences—especially self-reflection, emotional awareness, communication, and cooperation.
Participants and online format
A total of 28 people took part in the webinar, including youth workers, teachers, trainers and young participants. The international mix created space for sharing good practices, exchanging experiences and building new connections.
The event was hosted on Google Meet, with 18 participants joining from Hungary and Romania. For dissemination purposes, the webinar was also streamed live on Twitch, where an additional 10 viewers followed the session.
Programme structure: three sections with shared reflection
The webinar consisted of three main parts:
1) Opening session
We briefly introduced the IMELO project—its objectives, key activities and current results—highlighting those elements that support young people’s personal development and life-management skills.
2) Professional panel discussion
A joint reflection explored some of the most pressing issues affecting today’s younger generations, including anxiety, self-esteem challenges, lack of motivation, changing social relationships, and the pressures of the digital environment. During the discussion, we also presented the project’s Toolkit and showed how it can support professionals in their daily work.
3) Interactive session and feedback
Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, share their own experiences and reflect on real-life situations. Trainers and moderators presented practical examples of selected Toolkit elements that can be applied immediately in youth work settings.
Results and impact
At the end of the webinar, participants were invited to share feedback on the content, methods and usefulness of the session. The event supported the IMELO project goals on several levels: it contributed to strengthening young people’s self-awareness, self-confidence and resilience, while also fostering knowledge exchange and cooperation among professionals.
Overall, the webinar not only increased the visibility of the project, but also created a genuine forum for discussing social and psychological issues affecting young people. In the longer term, it may also lead to new connections and partnerships.
Availability of materials
The webinar was open to all interested participants, and the related professional materials are freely available on the project website and may be used without charge.
