August 4-18, 2025 / 4 sessions
In the first half of August 2025, a four-part local training course entitled “Masters of Life Balance” was held in Romania, attended by six Romanian youth workers. The aim of the training was to give participants a comprehensive overview of the most important social, professional, and personal challenges affecting young people, as well as to equip them with practical tools to deal with these challenges.
🔹 Module 1 – Mapping the challenges facing young people
The first part of the training examined the main problems affecting young people in Romania, with a particular focus on socio-economic uncertainty, cultural identity dilemmas, and difficulties in starting a career. The aim was to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and to raise awareness among youth workers.
🔹 Module 2 – Professional challenges and career development
The second session focused on labor market uncertainties and career planning. Through exercises, participants learned about methods for strengthening resilience and supporting career orientation.
🔹 Module 3 – Personal challenges and relationship building
The third module focused on the effects of the digital world, difficulties in meeting people and forming relationships, and the lack of parental role models. Participants developed a “Digital Well-being Handbook” and a “Relationship Building Navigation Map” to help young people develop healthy habits and build authentic relationships.
🔹 Module 4 – Life balance in practice and future strategies
The final session served to synthesize what had been learned and develop long-term strategies. Participants created individual action plans and jointly created the “Life Balance Toolkit,” which provides specific techniques for stress management, digital awareness, strengthening cultural identity, and time management.
The local training series in Romania not only provided professional development for youth workers, but also created long-term, sustainable tools for supporting young people.
