Local training courses for the professional development of youth workers in Hungary

05-19 August 2025 / 4 sessions

As part of the Erasmus+ project, a local training series consisting of four modules entitled “Masters of Life Balance” was held in the first half of August 2025. The aim of the training was to strengthen the professional preparedness of youth workers, supporting them with practical tools and methods to help young people with their complex life management challenges.

Module 1: Presentation of the situation in Hungary – Participants mapped the social and economic challenges affecting young people, with a particular focus on career orientation, labor market opportunities, and the importance of resilience.

Module 2: Professional career paths and resilience development – The focus was on supporting young people in their career planning, using interactive exercises and case studies to address career guidance dilemmas and methods for strengthening resilience.

Module 3: Personal well-being and meaningful relationships – The training focused on digital well-being, conscious use of social media, healthy relationships, and preparing for starting a family. Participants worked together to develop a “Digital Well-being Handbook” and a “Relationship Navigation Map.”

Module 4: Work-life balance – Situation analyses and role-plays examined typical imbalances affecting young people in Hungary. This resulted in the creation of the “Work-Life Toolkit,” which contains practical time management and stress management techniques.

The training comprehensively supported youth workers in becoming more credible in their professional roles, while developing tools that can be directly used to support young people in their lives.
